Dis-ease is Not Inherited

Dis-ease is Not Inherited

A disease prompted Myrtle Fillmore to pursue a balanced
life, and this pursuit led to her healing and the birth of the
Unity Movement.Though diagnosed with tuberculosis, she
would say repeatedly,“I am a child of God; therefore, I do
not inherit disease.”

As children of God, we do not have to accept the
human race conditioning which says we will inherit or
adopt the same aches and ailments common among our
family members.

We focus on spiritual truths rather than statistics and
facts. The facts help to guide us, yet they do not necessarily
define us.We can choose to receive a diagnosis of a disease
as a helpful guide to our spiritual alignment.Through this
understanding, we can then be still and find a better way
of living.

Being a seeker and an observer, over the years I’ve found three discernible methods that God has used to get through to my sometimes thick head and heart. There have been…

Inherent Love

Inherent Love

My life was always instructive, though at times painful, I have lived long enough to realize that my family members could never have loved me any more than they loved themselves. Their definition of love was simply not enough to fit in my definition. Because of their lack of love, I had to discover true…
