How Being In The Moment Completes Great Projects

There are two fatal errors that keep great projects from coming to life:

Not finishing

Not starting

-Buddha

Many people stop just before the diet really works or right before they finish a project that could lead them to a new sense of accomplishment. It is too easy at times to walk away and “get by” with just enough at the end of the day rather than asking ourselves, “Did I give this day, this moment, this relationship, this patient all I have”…..I realized a number of years ago when I would see someone for counseling that they would talk about every subject in the world…until we got to the last five minutes and then they would start addressing the real issues.

Don’t wait in your life, at your work, with your friends or colleagues for t he last five minutes. Be dedicated to be authentic and give all that you can in this moment. When you are at work…focus your attention there, when you are with your child do not think about work….being present is so crucial to benefiting from the magic that lives right now…

Nike expressed the concept best when their advertising campaign stated, Just Do It! Get started on that dream, the letter, the yard, the great things you are waiting to have happen….break your projects into tiny ones…in other words rather than waiting a day to read a good book…read a chapter a day….you can read a few books a year this way versus never reading at all. Instead of waiting to redo your home…do one area at a time….remember to keep it simple….if we make a new idea overwhelming we will not start it…or if we do….we will not finish it.

If the true intention is to feel better about yourself….then make sure what you are finishing or what you are starting falls into that paradigm.

Sending you the energy of Love, Joy and Abundant Blessings.

Faith Can Heal

In John 5:5 and 6,Jesus asks,“Do you want to get well?”He later states “It is our faith which has made us well.” These two profound truths, our wanting and our faith, are significant in our Unity teachings and can apply to everyone. In the first truth, we acknowledge that we must want to be well. Some…

What does it mean to be immortal?

What does it mean to be immortal?

By definition, immortal means“remembered or celebrated through all time.”In Unity,Easter is the celebration of immortality. In describing the incomparable beauty of immortality, RalphWaldo Emerson states,“Friendship, like the immortality of the soul, is too good to be believed.” If we believe in…

I AM

I AM

I am that which I state I am In Exodus 3:14, God said to Moses,“I am who I am.” “I am” is an expression of God,and what we affirm by using the “I am” becomes our truth. We are the unique micro of the macrocosm. As we expand our ability not to set things right but to…

What Do You Believe About Heaven?

What Do You Believe About Heaven?

In Unity, we believe heaven is a state of consciousness which is realized by living in the present moment. We do not acknowledge heaven in the traditional sense,as a place in the sky or a piece of property with pearly gates where all “good” people will one day coexist. It does not seem fathomable to us…
