A Simple Reminder of Your Connectedness

A Simple Reminder of Your Connectedness

When one of the greatest loves of my life, Sir Digby (all six pounds of a Yorkshire terrier who thought he was a Great Dane) died , and after he had walked out of his body and a couple of weeks had passed, I spoke to him. I asked him to send me a sign, saying, “You know the sign I am seeking—I just want to know you are doing well.” The next day I was walking on the beach with four friends, and as we walked, we noticed some feathers. They were everywhere—many more than my norm of twenty or thirty within a one-mile walk. I had felt the infinite connection of God. I had transformed a near-life experience to a state of being awake. I was whole.

What symbol or sign can you use as your spiritual GPS reminder? It could be a penny, a feather, butterfly, dolphin, or a rainbow that would show up right when you need a lift. Pick one for your new life experiences so you can begin to look at life through eyes of infinity and wholeness. Pick your symbol by going into a deep meditation and asking your inner awareness to reveal a symbol to you and allow it to show you amazing grace.

Lesson of the Sequoia Tree

The Methodist Class Meeting was much like the Giant Sequoia Trees in California. Just like the Methodist Class Meeting, the Great Sequoias “hold each other up.” They may reach a height of 311 feet, an age of 3200 years. They often weigh 2.7 million pounds. Their bark on the average is 31 inches thick. Their…

Don’t Give Up

Don’t Give Up

Have you ever heard the statement,” My life is falling apart so it can come together in a new way”? There are times right before we give up that things fall into place. Steven Covey emphasizes that in order to achieve success, you must keep the end in mind. Ask yourself where you would like…
