As Spiritual Beings, We Are The VALIDATORIANS.

As Spiritual Beings, We Are The VALIDATORIANS.

George Burns once said that if we asked lots of people in the world what would make them happier, you’d get answers like a new car, a bigger house, a raise in pay, winning a lottery, a face-lift, more kids, less kids – probably not more than a hundred people would say a chance to help people. And yet that may bring the most happiness of all.

Ultimately, how can we truly help others. We can offer temporary relief to an individual who is in pain or undergoing difficult times. We can offer to pray for people and sit with them during their moments of sadness. One of the greatest healing ingredients to add in someone’s life is to validate them. As spiritual beings, we are the VALIDATORIANS.

When we validate where someone is and from that love, safe and sacred space there is a healing that can occur. Most people are longing to know that they matter and someone hears them. How many times in your own life have you had a medical concern and the real relief came when the doctor said, “This isn’t anything to be concerned about.” It is such a relief when the doctor validates your diagnosis. We long to know that we are loved just as we are.

Life is calling upon us everyday to live and give more of who we are. There is an inner calling, a silent voice wanting us to validate the truth of our nature and we reflect this consciousness by the way we empower and take care of ourselves. As I validate the value of my own Divine consciousness by taking care of my physical and emotional life, I experience more of my Holy-ness.

In traveling around the country and teaching stress management classes, it shocked me to discover how difficult it is for most people to take care of themselves. And yet, if we could learn to work with our values in life, we would see that the greatest impact we can have upon others is to live a life worth living and set an example.

Jack Boland, a great Unity minister in writing the Mastermind Principles finished the 8th step with the following idea: I dedicate myself to be of maximum service to God and those around me, to live a manner that sets the highest example for others to follow and to remain responsive to God’s guidance always.

To me the greatest joy we can bring to our spiritual nature is knowing our inner worth and giving to this life the joy of living. We experience happiness by helping others and we help others by discovering who we are.

Heaven on Earth

Heaven on Earth

Heaven is a state of consciousness which is realized by living in the present moment. We do not acknowledge heaven in the traditional sense, as a place in the sky or a piece of property with pearly gates where all “good” people will one day coexist. It does not seem fathomable to us that we…

Breaking Patterns That No Longer Work

Breaking Patterns That No Longer Work

We will always have one common thread on our journey: who we are being and what we are becoming. Those who continue to repeat everything will have the same everything they say they no longer want. Do you have any repetitive patterns in your life? If so, what are they? Where did these patterns begin, and what actions…

Why is Change Hard?

Why is Change Hard?

We often are determined to make change hard. I once saw a couple that was having major problems because the wife did not want to clean the house and the husband did not think it was his job. Except for this one thing, they told me, they were very happy. I said to them, “You…

The Kingdom is Yours

The Kingdom is Yours

Being angry and disconnected from the Creator who gave you life is like having a parent who, unbeknownst to you, is very, very rich. You have denied yourself a relationship with this parent all your life, and one day you realize that you could have inherited amazing riches had you been willing to open your…
