Leading from the heart rather than the head:

Leading from the heart rather than the head:

When we learn to lead from the heart rather than the head, we will have true leaders who can bring humanity into a deeper awareness of spirituality.

Maybe public speaking isn’t your gift. Maybe counseling or being a life coach isn’t your gift, either. Maybe it’s organization or a green thumb or the desire to be the logistics coordinator, giving people rides to your local event. Each could be your arena of leadership. And remember the one butterfly who flaps his wings across the globe is felt by us. We are all affected by the actions of everyone else.

Sometimes it seems we have too many people who truly need to help themselves before they can fully help others. Some people attempt to help others too soon on their own healing journeys. We all may know a few of these folks, who get a business card and a website and make great claims before they have completed their own life training program.

Anyone who wants to be a teacher should ask him- or herself the following: Am I walking my talking? Am I modeling my message? If I am making claims about relationships, am I in a relationship? If I am sharing advice about money, do I have some money? If I claim to understand The Secret (which is not a secret) by Rhonda Byrne, do I manifest what the book and the movie say? And will any secret be permanent if I do not allow God’s creation of me to become actualized? Will my life magnify my Creator if the discovery of my own potential remains a secret to myself?

Beings of Light

Beings of Light

We are not designed to grow old; we are created to grow up and out as beings of light. Some would call this the lightness of being or taking yourself lightly. Whether or not you believe in the Bible, when the Creator said, “Let there be light,” the Creator was talking about you. Even Jesus…

Are You Awake?

Are You Awake?

First, you must realize you are asleep, then you are awake. Then you must die, so you can be born. You can not be born until you die and you can not die until you wake. Jungian psychology I have always enjoyed the story of a multitude of people with Buddha wanting to know how…

Lesson of the Sequoia Tree

Lesson of the Sequoia Tree

The Methodist Class Meeting was much like the Giant Sequoia Trees in California. Just like the Methodist Class Meeting, the Great Sequoias “hold each other up.” They may reach a height of 311 feet, an age of 3200 years. They often weigh 2.7 million pounds. Their bark on the average is 31 inches thick. Their…
